A few nights ago we posted to Facebook that HUB'ees were starting to rally around getting help to Haitians. We want to alert you to One5 Foundation which is a member of the HUB community that is working with Spryte Loriano, HUB President and Chief Humanitarian Officer, and Marcia King, Global Marketplace Manager, to provide quick solutions through the HUB community.

You may want to help - here are four ways to do so:

  • Make a direct donation to www.one5.org
  • Send your unique Global Marketplace URL to your friends, and ask them to make a "PURCHASES FOR GOOD" with One5 Foundation, which is providing greatly needed medical products and medical assistance and more!
  • Contact One5.org if you want to go to Haiti to help to be sure you are connected to a safe, reputable, effective, HUB-endorsed organization doing good there!
  • Forward this email to all you know!
We thank you for being a committed community of ACTION-TAKERS!

HUB Support Team

HUB'ees to Help in Haiti - Press Release from One5.org! More than 2 million people have been affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

Relief and government agencies are already on the ground and One5 Foundation's medical team is on their way to help.

The team will not only provide medical assistance, but will let us know what is needed and how best One5 can help. We anticipate sending a couple of teams to Haiti within the next two weeks. We will rely on Brad Gautney, One5 Foundation's Medical Director, to tell us what kind of medical expertise is needed, as well as what supplies we will need to send. Currently, financial support and awareness is what is needed most.

We want to thank all of you that have already made a financial contribution and/or offered to help here or in Haiti - we appreciate your support!

Special thanks to Bobby McKenzie with Infinity Building Services who has offered to match the first $5000 that is given to the Foundation and an anonymous donor who is matching an additional $2500.  You can double the impact of your gift if you donate now to help us respond to this disaster.

You can also help us raise awareness and generate support by posting a link to us on your facebook page or blog or by tweeting about us.

Stay up to date on what One5 is doing in Haiti through Facebook, visiting our blog, following us on Twitter or by visiting our Web site.

Thank you,

About Ernie D'Leon: Ernie was an infantryman reconnaissance scout in Vietnam in the year 1968. He ran four man teams and Force Recon missions in the Central Highlands.  He was wounded in April of '68 and awarded the Purple Heart. When he returned from Vietnam, he pursued a degree in Business from San Diego State, and became the Vice President of a Software Company.  Fifteen years ago, his life began to fall apart and he was diagnosed with PTSD.  Even though Ernie had taken advantage of the VA's individual therapy and group therapy sessions, he suffered from nightmares for 40 years.  His normal sleeping pattern was to wake up 3-4 times in the night and to never get more than 6 hours of sleep.  After one session with Tom Stone at Great Life Technologies, he somehow relieved himself of the anxiety that wouldn't allow him to sleep.  That night after the session with Tom, he slept 9 hours, the following night 8 hours, and so it has been.  Ernie says that it works and it is a miracle of sorts. His quality of life has improved, he have more energy and he is happier.  Ernie thinks anyone with combat-related stress should try it.
